Educational Support for Teens & Adolescents

Rolling Hills Academy holds accreditations from the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. At our school, students can achieve academic excellence and gain credits that are transferable to other institutions. 

Our certified teachers specialize in their respective fields, and they work closely with parents, guardians, and home school districts to provide outstanding educational support. 

By using Edgenuity, a standards-based online learning resource, we can offer a versatile curriculum and an interactive learning experience for our students.  

We created our educational program, Edgenuity – Imagine Learning, to help adolescents ages 12-17 continue their education while they receive mental health support at Rolling Hills Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. 

Students who participate in this program can benefit from the following features: 

• Small class sizes: Each of our two teachers works with groups of no more than 14 students, allowing them to provide personalized attention. 
• Well-rounded curriculum: Core subjects, like math, science, English, and history, are taught in person and are customized for each student’s grade level and abilities. Additionally, students have access to a wide range of online courses through Edgenuity, including technical training, electives, credit recovery options, and career-focused subjects. 
• Structured daily schedule: Rolling Hills Academy follows a year-round academic calendar. Each school day consists of three hours of instruction, with boys attending classes in the afternoon and girls in the morning. This structured routine helps students find consistency and stability in their daily lives. 
• Summer enrichment opportunities: During the six-week summer season, students can participate in “fun classes” like yoga, Greek and Latin roots, etiquette, creative writing, the 24-hour clock, Roman numerals, and flower dissection.  
• Nurturing learning environment: We provide all necessary school supplies for students and create safe, calming spaces where students can focus on their studies and fully engage in their educational journeys.

At Rolling Hills, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive support for our students, as shown through: 

• Communication with home schools: Our teachers maintain regular contact with parents, guardians, and home school districts. This includes sending weekly progress reports and holding individualized education plan (IEP) meetings to address students’ needs and goals. 
• Transition preparation: We prepare detailed academic transcripts to assist students who are transitioning to other educational settings. Additionally, we retain student records for five years after discharge to address any future questions. 
• Therapeutic integration: Each student is paired with a therapist. Our teaching staff keeps them updated on students’ overall performance and behavior in the classroom.  

Rolling Hills Academy is more than just a school; it’s a community where students can develop a sense of belonging. Our mascot, Rowdy, symbolizes the resilience and spirit of our students and is a cherished part of our campus culture. 

Located in the rolling hills of southeastern Oklahoma, our hospital and school provide a peaceful and welcoming environment. Ada’s strategic location allows us to serve patients from various regions, including Oklahoma and Texas.
